reinforced concrete, Quality Assurance & Audit of Concrete Structures, Non Destructive Evaluation
of RCC structures, Distress evaluation and repair / rehabilitation of structures covering mass
concrete structures such as Dams. Research work done has been instrumental in undertaking
revision of Indian Design Standard IS: 456-2000 currently for design parameters of high strength
concrete. Drafted Indian Standard on Carbonation Test of concrete and Half-cell potential test for
assessment of probability of corrosion in RCC Structures. Also contributed in revision of Indian
Standard for Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test of concrete and specification of HYSD bars with
respect to yield strength and tensile strength requirements. Carried out fire damaged assessment
AIMS building, Delhi and undertook distress assessment of many RCC structures including
parliament house of India. Contributed in revision of Indian Standard on prestressed concrete
through research project on Durability Studies in prestressed concrete made with PPC to
encourage utilization of flyash waste from thermal power plants.
