Due to the relatively low stiffness of the column against horizontal
translation and rtotation at its connection with truss such an
assumption abou support condition in analysis of truss is consistant
with the design of coulmun.

My question is how the truss will be able to transfer hor. force to the
columns as one end of the truss is considered to be roller.
It can transfer hor. force to the col. at the end, which is considered as
pinned.
