Dear Colleagues,
I would like to know about provision of joints in slabs resting on ground as under.
1. For very large area of slab , is it necessary to provide expansion joints.? Do they perform satisfactorily?
2. For cast in situ concrete panels , which method 铸造即线方法在改变nate bays or chess board pattern is preferable? what sort of filler material is suitable for contraction joints? In factory floors , abrasion of floor is prevalent. what type of material property is required for abrasion rersistant? Otherwise problem of dirt accumulation may be created.
3. For nominally reinforced rcc panels in ground for slabs, is it necessary to anchor dowels in adjacent panels?
4. Is it necessary to provide rcc slabs on ground for factory floors?
