Respected Engineers, I have been doing analysis of g + 14 building (Total ht = 58 m) with basement parking. Ground Floor is at ht of 3.5 m from raft footing(raft thickness 1.2 m) and parking floor ht is 3.8 m further above GL. During analysis, I am getting warning of soft storey for GF and above storey.
What provisions shall be adopted? Can I consider diaphragm at GF level to avoid that warning? Or Shear wall to be provided? Any other solution? Un reinforced masonary infill walls were planned but it is not fulfilling IS 1893: 2016 7.9.2 9(d) criteria of h/t< 12 and l/t < 12. Kindly guide me as I am designing multistorey building for the first time.
