Hello Freshers ya even i am one of you too,,,
Beams we are designing as both singly reinforcement and doubly reinforcement. https://100001.onl/https://1921681254.mx/https://happymod.site/ Can we design the slab also doubly reinforcement?
If it is possible, what is the procedure?
If it is not possible, what may be the reason?
Kindly provide your guidance.

Er. Moosewla, If compression steel is provided in an RCC slab, making it doubly reinforced, there will not be any substantial gain in its Moment of Resistance value, perhaps due to the low value of Lever Arm. This is illustrated in the example attached. I have no knowledge on any other merits / demerits of doubly reinforcing a slab !
